High School students are often told that they are living the “best four years of their lives.” Although some students may not realize it at the time, there are several reasons for this claim. High School students are simultaneously receiving a quality education, discovering new activities, sports and hobbies that they love, spending time with friends, and making plans for their futures. It is easy to imagine, therefore, how overwhelming these four years can be. The only way to ensure an enjoyable and rewarding High School experience is through time management. The average student’s day consists of school, practices and meetings, homework and studying, and entrance exam preparation. Achieving a balanced schedule is an essential aspect of maintaining a positive and success-driven attitude. BrainStorm tutors encourage students to create a weekly schedule, which allows the student to visualize when and where the work that he or she must accomplish can be completed, while still creating time for homework and spending time with friends. Time management is a lifelong skill that adults must master, and encouraging teenagers to get a jumpstart now will work wonders for their confidence and abilities.
